What personal data we collect and why we collect it

If you contact us, your personal data (e.g. first name, last name, e-mail address or telephone number) that identify you personally will be collected by us in order to process your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The data is processed on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Articles 5 and 6.

After the accumulated data is no longer required, we will delete it. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Contact form, newsletter, donation transfers and receipts

Data transmitted via the contact form will be stored in order to process your request and to ensure future communication. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

We need your e-mail address to send our newsletter. Additional data is not collected and is therefore of a voluntary nature. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter.

When transferring donations via the website, the donor's first name, last name, e-mail address and account details must be provided in order to successfully complete the transaction. Additional data can be provided voluntarily. Personal data is only used within the framework of the organization's financial calculations; also in public at the request of the donor.

The data provided is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (GDPR, Art. 6). A revocation is possible at any time and takes place via an informal message by e-mail. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to that point remains unaffected by revocation.

Transmitted data remain with us until you ask us to delete them, revoke your consent to storage or until data storage is no longer necessary.

Mandatory legal provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

Declaration of consent for photo and video documentation and their publication

The public events of Global Help are documented with photographs and, in some cases, with videos. Photos and videos are also taken of the participants. The photo and video documentation is required by Global Help and its cooperation partners on the respective websites, in social media, press releases as well as for internal and external publications in order to provide information about their activities and to fulfill their organizational goals.

Therefore, we have a legitimate interest in the creation and use of such recordings (GDPR, Art. 6). By registering for a public event or seminar, the participants expressly agree that they may be photographed or filmed and that the material may be used and published for the purposes described.

As part of our work, the project beneficiaries agree that they may be recognizable on pictures and videos through their participation in our activities. In addition, the photographic or videographic elements are passed on to the project partners and sponsors, so that they can also use them for the above-mentioned objectives.

Social media and online platforms

Global Help is registered in various social networks and platforms in order to be able to draw attention to its project activities and communicate with its users. We have placed (external) links to these online presences on our website. When calling up the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of the respective operator apply. Unless not stated differently in our data protection declaration, we process the data of the users who communicate with us.
