Global Help is a German non-profit and recognized non-governmental organization founded in 2022 by a professional team with long-term experience in the aid sector.

The multifaceted and bundled expertise of the founders makes this organization so unique in its effectiveness to respond to manmade and natural disasters.

Global Help is active in areas where help is needed most. We possess an active, trustworthy network around the globe which guarantees good needs assessment as well as qualitative and rapid support mechanisms.

Our Mission Statement

  1. Our identity and principles as a German Syrian Association

Global Help is a German, non-profit, recognized non-governmental organization and was founded in Darmstadt in 2011 by Syrians and Germans of Syrian origin.

It initially arose out of the will to support the people of Syria in their commitment to freedom and democracy. In the meantime, the association has developed into an organization that provides humanitarian aid for people who are exposed to war, violence and flight.

The association is ideologically, politically and denominationally independent.

The association ensures that the principles of human rights of the United Nations are observed and represents the ideas of charity, international understanding and peace in word, writing and deed.

Global Help wants to look after the interests of those who need help and support in order to eliminate social disadvantage, hardship and inhumane situations and to work towards improving individual, family and social living conditions.

We promote democratic and social thinking and acting. We are committed to a free and democratic social order. Their existence is a mandatory requirement for our work. Their principles are indispensable foundations of our actions. These principles are binding for all institutions of the German-Syrian Association and its members.

We are committed to the integration of Syrian immigrants in Germany.

We understand integration to mean the active and responsible participation of immigrants on the basis of the free, democratic and social basic order mentioned above.

We are bridge builders between the Syrian community and the majority population in Germany. We are a mouthpiece, we give the Syrian people in Germany a voice.

As an ideologically, politically and denominationally independent organization, Global Help is active in areas where help is urgently needed.

We work out of social responsibility and interculturally and are independent of parties and religious communities.

In the crisis areas, we work together with professional and experienced partners who can identify with our goals.

An active, trusted network in Syria and neighboring countries guarantees that our help gets where it is needed by those in need.

Global Help is particularly active in the areas of social affairs, health and education. In the field of health, the association promotes the maintenance of health care in Syria and the improvement of the health situation of Syrian refugees on site.

In the field of education, the organization supports the teaching of learning content and the development of structures to improve the educational situation of Syrian refugees in the crisis areas and in Germany.

In the area of ​​social affairs, the association promotes the establishment and maintenance of schools and orphanages in Syria. Global Help will be actively involved in rebuilding the infrastructure in Syria. In addition, Global Help informs the Syrian immigrants about the most important topics of social integration in Germany.

Global Help is aware of the connections between social issues, education, religion, economy and health in the integration process.

In Germany, especially in the Darmstadt area, Global Help makes an important contribution to supporting local refugee work with its integration-promoting activities. With its projects, Global Help primarily wants to promote the participation of people with a migration background in all municipal and social areas.

Our target groups are: people in Syria and Syrian immigrants in Germany, service providers in the health sector, educational institutions and social institutions.

In accordance with the social task of the organization, Global Help is organized under association law and has a democratic and federal structure. The German-Syrian Association is not a political association. Membership in Global Help is open to anyone who is willing to uphold the basic principles of the association and to contribute to the fulfillment of the association’s tasks, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion or political conviction.

The association consists of members, the board of directors, the management and full-time and voluntary employees.

The association’s political will is formed by the members. The strategic and operational work of the association is determined by the board and the management.

The management and employees of Global Help see themselves as a constructive team with flat hierarchies in decision-making. The professional management of the association facilitates the planning and implementation of needs-based measures.

Global Help appears in public under the logo with its own website.

As an employer, we are technically competent, innovative, reliable and ensure this through the involvement of our honorary and full-time employees. Global Help attaches great importance to the constant professional and personal development of its honorary and full-time employees through internal and external qualification measures. Global Help motivates volunteers, demands commitment and promotes performance and motivation.

The workforce is involved in the further development and renewal of the association.

We design our work structures to be cooperative, respectful, functional and economical. We want our employees to be employed on the basis of transparent working and remuneration conditions.

The overall coordination is the responsibility of the management. The management can, in coordination with the board, transfer individual tasks to full-time employees or volunteers.

Global Help develops measures in accordance with its strategic guidelines and implements them in cooperation with other organizations.

The Management Board and the members are involved in the strategic planning. This takes the form of newsletters, annual reports and via the website and social media. The flow of information is ensured by regular board meetings.

Transparency is ensured through high-profile campaigns and actions, published annual reports, and press and public relations work. The association regularly reports publicly on its activities.

The planning and implementation of the activities are coordinated from the office.

Global Help finances its work from membership fees, donations, public grants, project financing and fees for services. We control their proper and lawful use through internal and external audits.
